Our name, DEMECAN, stands for German Medicinal Cannabis. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for patients by providing access to medical cannabis produced in Made in Germany quality. In May 2019, DEMECAN became the only independent German company to be awarded a license for the domestic production of medical cannabis. In your role as a Shopware 6 developer, you will continuously develop and optimize our existing Shopware 6 shop, taking our e-commerce platform to the next technological level. You will integrate relevant third-party systems, especially ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and ensure smooth data exchange. You will use your technical expertise to implement new features and improve existing processes.
If you also have experience with Shopify, you can take on smaller projects in that area – such as theme customizations or API integrations. Working closely with our e-commerce team, you will analyze requirements, develop practical solutions, and reliably translate them into working code.
We are currently looking for a Shopware 6 Developer (m/f/d) in either Berlin, Ebersbach near Dresden, or fully remote (within Germany).
What You'll Do
- Develop new features and extensions for our Shopware 6 store
- Integrate external systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) via REST APIs
- Analyze current workflows and implement technical optimizations
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to develop effective technical solutions
- Bring in your own ideas to continuously improve and scale our e-commerce infrastructure
- Optionally: support Shopify-related projects (e.g. frontend customization or API integrations)

Your Profile
- Several years of hands-on experience developing with Shopware 6 (ideally certified)
- Solid knowledge of PHP, Symfony, Twig, and API integration
- Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience integrating third-party systems — especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (AL Language, OData/REST APIs)
- Bonus: experience with Shopify (Liquid, API connections, app development is a plus)
- A relevant qualification such as:
- Vocational training in application development (e.g. Fachinformatiker/in Anwendungsentwicklung)
- Degree in computer science, business informatics, media informatics, or similar
- You’re self-driven, team-oriented, and adaptable
- Excellent English skills; German is a plus but not required
- Valid Work permit for Germany (we do not sponsor visas)
